Separately, police in Tybee Island, Georgia reported gunfire during a youth gathering near the pier area. According to authorities, the gunfire caused hundreds of teenagers to flee the scene in what witnesses described as chaotic conditions.

The Georgia incident was characterized by police as a pop-up event that drew large numbers of young people to the pier area. No injuries from the reported gunfire were immediately confirmed by authorities.

Both incidents occurred on the same day, though there is no indication the events were connected. Local law enforcement in both jurisdictions responded to manage the situations and restore order to the affected areas.
