GoPro Announces 8K Mission 1 Camera Series; DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Images Leak
GoPro unveiled cinema-focused Mission 1 cameras with 8K video and interchangeable lenses, while leaked images suggest DJI is preparing to release the Osmo Pocket 4.

GoPro has announced its new Mission 1 series of cinema-focused action cameras, marking a significant expansion of the company's product lineup. The new cameras feature 8K video recording capabilities, improved low-light performance, and the ability to use Micro Four Thirds lenses.
The Mission 1 series represents GoPro's push into the professional video market, offering interchangeable lens compatibility that distinguishes it from the company's traditional fixed-lens action cameras. The 8K video recording capability positions the cameras to compete with higher-end cinema equipment.
Separately, leaked images have surfaced showing what appears to be DJI's upcoming Osmo Pocket 4 camera. Leaker Igor Bogdanov shared an image on social media platform X showing two versions of a handheld stabilized camera, including what is reportedly a pro version of the device.
DJI is expected to announce the Osmo Pocket 4 on April 16, according to industry speculation. The leaked images suggest the company may be developing multiple versions of its compact handheld camera, potentially including a higher-end professional model alongside the standard version.
Both announcements signal continued competition in the compact camera market, with manufacturers targeting both consumer and professional video creators with increasingly sophisticated features in portable form factors.
