Separately, a Russian tanker carrying fuel and natural gas has been drifting in the Mediterranean Sea for weeks following what sources describe as a drone attack. The vessel's condition has alarmed officials who are concerned about a potential environmental disaster. Rescue efforts for the ship have reportedly failed.

Additionally, sources reported that a fire broke out at a Transneft pumping station following another drone attack. Transneft operates Russia's main oil pipeline system.
