An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder following his extradition from Dubai in connection with the death of Kamonnan Thiamphanit in London.

Kamonnan Thiamphanit, 27, who was also known as Angela, was found with multiple stab wounds at her home on Stanhope Place in Westminster in April 2024. The property is located near Hyde Park in central London.

The suspect was extradited from Dubai to face charges in the United Kingdom. Extradition proceedings can often take months or years to complete as they involve complex legal processes between countries.

Thiamphanit was described as a Thai national who was living in London at the time of her death. The stabbing occurred at her residence in the affluent Westminster area.

The case represents a significant development in what has been an ongoing international investigation spanning multiple jurisdictions. Metropolitan Police had been working with international partners to locate and apprehend the suspect.
