Margaux Mirkin, the daughter of Budget Rent a Car founder, was attacked and strangled during a home invasion Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Mirkin, whose age was reported as either 68 or 70, was assaulted by masked intruders at her residence. Police confirmed the incident involved strangulation during what appeared to be a home invasion.
