Russian forces conducted overnight attacks across Ukraine using drones, airstrikes and shelling, killing one person and injuring more than 30 others, Ukrainian officials reported Monday.

The attacks targeted multiple Ukrainian cities, including the southern port city of Odesa and Dnipro in the southeast. Ukrainian authorities provided casualty figures but did not immediately release additional details about the specific locations of the fatalities and injuries.

In a separate incident, Ukrainian naval officials said a Russian drone struck a Chinese-flagged vessel in the Black Sea. The Ukrainian Navy characterized the strike as evidence that Russian attacks pose risks beyond Ukraine's borders.

"Russia once again demonstrates that its attacks pose a threat not only to Ukraine, now they are a risk even to its closest partners, whose ships are in the Black Sea," the Ukrainian Navy said in a statement.

The overnight strikes represent a continuation of Russia's sustained campaign against Ukrainian infrastructure and population centers. The incident involving the Chinese ship occurred as Chinese President Xi Jinping was scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
