Sony announced price increases for short-term PlayStation Plus subscriptions in select regions, effective May 20th. The company cited "ongoing market conditions" as the reason for the adjustments.

Under the new pricing structure, one-month subscriptions will cost $10.99 USD, €9.99 EUR, or £7.99 GBP, while three-month subscriptions will be priced at $27.99 USD, €27.99 EUR, or £21.99 GBP. The changes affect monthly and quarterly subscription options but do not impact annual subscription rates.

Separately, Sony has reportedly changed its strategy regarding PC releases of PlayStation exclusive games. According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, Hermen Hulst, who heads PlayStation's studios business, informed employees during a Monday town hall meeting that the company would no longer release major single-player PlayStation games on PC.

This represents a shift from Sony's previous approach of bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC platforms. Schreier had previously reported on this strategic change in March, noting that Sony had scrapped existing plans to launch PC versions of certain titles.

The pricing adjustments and strategic shift come as Sony continues to adapt its PlayStation business model amid changing market conditions in the gaming industry.
