Federal safety officials have announced recalls for two different consumer products due to serious safety concerns.

Costco patio swings have been recalled after at least eight people sustained head and arm injuries when swing seats separated from their frames. The separation created a dangerous fall hazard that resulted in documented injuries to users.

Separately, more than 120,000 squeeze toys have been recalled due to asbestos contamination concerns. The affected toys were sold at Walmart and Ollie's retail locations.

Both recalls highlight ongoing consumer safety issues with products sold through major retail chains. The swing recall addresses immediate physical injury risks from structural failure, while the toy recall involves potential long-term health risks from exposure to the carcinogenic material asbestos.
