Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) publicly rejected claims of election fraud after losing his Republican primary race to Ed Gallrein, a candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

Massie announced he would not seek a recount and dismissed various theories suggesting voter tampering may have contributed to his defeat. Writing on social media, the incumbent congressman stated he does not believe his loss resulted from fraudulent votes, mail-in ballot irregularities, hacking, or vote counting errors.

The Kentucky primary featured Gallrein, who received Trump's endorsement in the race against the sitting congressman. Massie, who has served in the House since 2012, has occasionally broken with party leadership on various issues during his tenure.

Massie's explicit rejection of fraud claims stands in contrast to some Republican candidates who have questioned election integrity after losses in recent cycles. His statement comes as debates over election security and voting procedures continue within the Republican Party following the 2020 presidential election.

The congressman's decision not to pursue legal challenges or demand recounts represents an acceptance of the primary results without the extended disputes that have characterized some recent elections.
